Adult Quad Classes

Join the fun and begin your skate journey at STF as you meet other adult beginners and are introduced into the amazing culture of quad skating!

Location: Skate The Foundry – West Philly (888 N. 40th Street Philadelphia, PA 19104)
Requirement: Must be over the age of 16. Must wear a helmet during the class. Equipment may be rented for STF ($5 for skateboard, $5 for helmet & pads). You can purchase equipment at our West Philly or Elkins Park locations.
Class Size: 6 skaters max (Minimum of 3 skaters are needed to run this course).
Make up class: 50% OFF a 60 minute private 1-on-1 lesson when you miss a class (limit 1). No other make up class is available when a skater misses a session. *Note: Lesson must be scheduled during the duration of the course*
Additional Perks: FREE Open Skate admission on Tuesday evenings (5pm-9pm) to practice newly learned skills and receive tips from our Quad instructor if you want it.

Adult Intro/Beginner Quad Course in West Philly – 2 day Session

About: This Adult Course is for those who have never put skates on before, or used to skate in the past and want to get back into it! Our instructor(s) are ready to assist you in setting and accomplishing your skating goals, and to support you in building self confidence. At the end of this course, you will have a new skate crew of fellow class members, and the confidence to skateboard at any public skatepark!
Dates: 2 Saturdays – December 10 & 17
Time: 1:30PM – 2:45PM (75 minutes)
Tuition: $80 / Members save up to 35%
What you will learn: Skatepark etiquette, roller skate anatomy, falling down (and standing back up!) safely, skating forward and backward, turning, stopping (toe stop drag, t-stop, and turn around toe stop), toe stop confidence and agility, walking up and down ramps, rolling in on a bank, toe stop stall on bank.

Adult Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Quad Course in West Philly – 2 day Session

Dates: 2 Saturdays – December 10 & 17
Location: Skate The Foundry – West Philly (888 N. 40th Street Philadelphia, PA 19104)
Time: 3:00PM – 4:15PM (75 minutes)
Tuition: $80 / Members save up to 35%Closed
What you will learn: Airs on flat (forward and 180), pumping, carving, airs on transition, dropping in over coping, stalling, building lines in a park!
